Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Brooks Tavern

What are your hours? Lunch: Tuesday through Saturday 11:30 til 2.  Dinner: starting at 5 PM Tuesday through Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
Closed any other Days?  We are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, The Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Reservations?  We take reservations for parties of six or larger. Generally, there is no wait for a table, except occassionally for prime time on Friday and Saturday night. At times like that we run a wait list, seating on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can always call ahead, too, to see what's going on. But there is no need for reservations to get a table, no need to plan days ahead, just come on in when you feel hungry for some uniquely Brooks Tavern cuisine, lunch or dinner!
Where does the name "Brooks Tavern" come from?  Originally called Radcliffe Mill, the Brooks family bought the building in 1917, on the birth of a son named Phillip. P.M.Brooks' family owned the mill until the late seventies, when the property was divided between siblings, and the original name of Radcliffe was returned to the Mill. We wanted to connect the histories by bringing the "Brooks" back to the Mill.
Who are the Owners of BT?  Kevin McKinney and Barbara Silcox are the Owner/Operators of Brooks Tavern. They have been on the forefront of the restaurant scene in Kent County since 1986, when they opened the Ironstone Cafe. Nine years later they started their second venture, the Kennedyville Inn, which is now closed.
Can we get a job with you?  We are always looking for energetic people who enjoy the restaurant business or maybe want a career change. We even take interns! Give us a ring or better yet, stop by and we'll talk.
